THE JOB
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-orientated Construction Buyer to join their team on a permanent basis. As Buyer, you will be involved in all aspects of a building project from pre-construction through to construction. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Sourcing and procuring materials, plant, and subcontractor services for construction projects.
  • Negotiating prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of materials and services to meet project schedules.
  • Evaluating supplier performance and seeking opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.
  • Assisting in resolving any supply chain issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Maintaining and updating procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes.

  • Previous experience in a buyer position, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
