THE JOB

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-orientated Construction Buyer to join our team on a permanent basis. As Buyer, you will negotiate costs, meet/assess sub-contractors and suppliers while organizing the materials and labour required for each project.

Your main duties will include:

  • Source and procure materials, plant, and subcontractor services for construction projects.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to meet project schedules.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and seek opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.
  • Assist in resolving any supply chain issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain and update procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
