About the Role

We are seeking a Level 2 Case Services Officer to join our Housing Solutions Team at Canterbury City Council. As a key member of our triage team, you will be the first point of contact for individuals coming into our service, providing advice, support, and signposting as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take phone calls and conduct face-to-face initial assessments to understand the needs of individuals experiencing homelessness.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date digital records of client interactions.
  • Conduct basic investigations to support Housing Solutions Officers in making informed decisions about cases.
  • Arrange temporary accommodation and ensure timely financial contributions.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide a comprehensive support service.

About You

We are looking for an individual with a strong understanding of the Homeless Reduction Act 2017 and excellent communication skills. You will have a good standard of maths and English at GCSE grade 4 or above, or equivalent work-related experience. A DBS check will be required for this role.
