Job Overview

MDM Resourcing is representing a dynamic and rapidly expanding entity within one of the North West's premier privately held groups, boasting a turnover exceeding £1 billion. Currently generating approximately £6 million, this organization is actively engaged in the burgeoning renewable energy industry.

The firm is in search of a proactive Finance Manager to collaborate closely with the Managing Director, overseeing all facets of daily accounting and financial oversight for the organization.

As the business experiences swift growth, the Managing Director seeks an individual who thrives on the challenge of supporting the expansion of a larger-scale operation and who will play a pivotal role in the company's development. This position is expected to evolve into a Finance Director role as the organization scales.

Key Responsibilities

Initially, you will function as the sole finance professional, with the opportunity to expand the finance department as the company grows. The parent organization possesses a robust finance team that can offer assistance as needed.

In close partnership with the Managing Director, your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Hands-on accounting tasks, including transaction documentation, preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts, and insightful weekly and monthly key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Management of cash flow.
  • Development of business plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Preparation of monthly payroll.
  • Providing relevant financial data to the sales team as required.
  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts for the organization.
  • Execution of ad hoc projects as directed by the Managing Director.
