We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team in the South, covering London, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire regions. The ideal candidate will be based in the St Albans/Hemel Hempstead area and will be responsible for carrying out routine servicing of lift equipment, including minor repair work and the routine replacement of components in accordance with approved company procedures.

About the Role:

  • Rectify and reduce faults on lift equipment in cases of breakdown and check to confirm correct functioning.
  • Conduct routine inspections, adjustments and maintenance of lift installations in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Carry out fault finding and diagnostic procedures using a range of techniques, technical manuals and appropriate test equipment, restoring equipment to service.
  • Work in accordance with established Company Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current company and UK legal requirements.
  • Adhere to Company Health & Safety requirements and set a personal example of safe behaviour at all times.
  • Use a handheld device for reporting work activities and any future technology introduced to enhance real time reporting.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Lift Servicing/Maintenance/Repairs preferred.
  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in Lift maintenance.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Flexibility.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Good communication skills at different levels (client/Inspectors/Managers).
  • Full UK driving License required.
