We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join the Schindler Group team in the South region, covering London, Bedfordshire, and Hertfordshire areas. The ideal candidate will be based around the St Albans/Hemel Hempstead area, performing regular servicing of lift equipment, handling minor repairs, and replacing components following company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve faults on lift equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct thorough maintenance checks using company equipment, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Inspect and adjust lift installations, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.
  • Utilize fault finding techniques and manuals to restore equipment functionality, minimizing downtime and costs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and best practices, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.

Requirements:

  • Past experience in Lift Servicing/Maintenance/Repairs, with a strong understanding of lift systems and components.
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in Lift maintenance, or equivalent, demonstrating a high level of technical expertise.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving complex issues.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Valid UK driving license, with a clean driving record.
