Job Description

**Role Overview**

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Supply Teacher to join our team at Step Teachers. As a Supply Teacher, you will play a vital role in ensuring uninterrupted education and creating a positive learning environment for students when their regular teachers are absent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Pre-Prepared Lesson Plans: Effectively implement pre-prepared lesson plans to facilitate student learning and achieve academic goals.
  • Maintain Classroom Discipline: Establish and maintain a well-organized and respectful classroom environment, promoting a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Adhere to School Policies: Comply with school policies and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient school day.
  • Provide Constructive Feedback: Offer constructive feedback to regular teaching staff on students' progress, supporting their development and growth.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the effective running of the school day, promoting a sense of teamwork and community.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in teaching and education.
  • Proven Experience: Possess proven experience as a Supply Teacher or Classroom Teacher, showcasing your ability to adapt to different teaching environments.
  • Strong Classroom Management: Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills, ensuring a well-organized and respectful learning environment.
  • Excellent Communication: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with colleagues and students.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Display flexibility and adaptability, willing to work across different schools and year groups, and adjust to changing circumstances.
  • Valid DBS Clearance: Hold valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance or be willing to undergo checks, ensuring a safe and secure learning environment.
