The mission of Estates is to furnish HMRC with a property portfolio that is appropriately sized and configured to address both present and future requirements of our clients in HMRC's operational sectors.
As a customer-centric organization, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality, user-friendly services that empower our colleagues to excel by providing them with desirable working environments.
The Service Design and User Experience (SDUX) team operates within the Estates Locations division, realizing the enhanced workspace vision in alignment with the Locations Programme and Government Hubs Programme.
This position will spearhead the management of Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) for HMRC's Estates Directorate.Key Responsibilities include:
- Administration of furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Supplier contract management, from initial bidding through to delivery and subsequent evaluation.
- Lifecycle oversight of furniture assets.
- Responsibility for the provision of specialized furniture (for occupational health needs).
- Ensuring uniformity across furniture delivery channels.
- Warranty oversight.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the furniture team to uphold excellence in customer service.
Operational Duties:
- Management of supplier relationships and their specific project outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Commercial Directorate to facilitate pre- and post-bid activities.
Coordinate with CAT B design teams, ensuring that the furniture supplier is an integral member of the broader project team, capable of synchronizing their efforts with other vendors.
Proactively identify and address risks and challenges that may jeopardize the overall design vision, intervening and negotiating practical solutions.
Supervise the team's annual review of FF&E installations in Regional Centres.The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in contract management, vendor relations, and project execution. A qualification in Programme and Project Management is preferred.
Knowledge of the furniture sector is essential.
Experience in a dynamic project team or large-scale transformation initiatives is advantageous.
The successful applicant must complete all standard management, security, health & safety, and diversity training.
Understanding of Inclusive Design policy and planning, along with its beneficial impacts.
Proven ability to create or lead engaged, effective multi-disciplinary project teams.
