Furniture Sales Associate

Description:
As a Retail Store Sales Assistant at Big Lots, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our stores. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain a high level of customer service, providing a positive shopping experience for our customers.
- Operate point-of-sale systems efficiently and accurately, ensuring seamless transactions.
- Participate in freight flow processes, including truck unloading, stocking, and merchandise presentation.
- Assist with furniture department operations, including carry-outs and display assembly as needed.
- Maintain the appearance of the store's interior and exterior, adhering to company standards.
- Perform daily front-end maintenance, including check stand cleanliness, replenishment of merchandise and supplies, and floor safety.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by Store Leadership, such as cart retrieval, shrink control, and safety-related tasks.
- Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
Requirements:
- Prior retail experience is preferred.
- Basic English literacy and math skills are required.
