About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior HR Business Partner to join our team at The West Group Ltd. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our organisation and driving business success through effective people management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic HR Partner
    • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with our business objectives and drive organisational performance.
    • Provide expert advice and guidance to senior leaders on HR-related matters, including talent management, organisational design, and employee engagement.
  • Employee Relations Expert
    • Manage complex employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinaries, and redundancies, with confidence and consistency of approach.
    • Provide advice and guidance on employment law and HR policies to senior leaders and the management team.
  • People Systems and Processes
    • Develop and implement effective people systems and processes that support business objectives and drive organisational performance.
    • Champion the use of HR technology, including Breathe HR, to ensure data is maintained in a consistent and compliant format.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Provide regular reports to the Managing Director on key HR metrics, including retention figures, headcount costs, and employee engagement.
    • Analyse absence data and implement strategies to reduce absence and improve productivity.
Requirements
  • CIPD qualified (minimum CIPD Level 5) with extensive HR generalist experience in a variety of senior roles.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of employment law and its application in a commercial environment.
  • Experience of managing complex employee relations situations, including ACAS negotiations.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with senior leaders and the management team.
  • Flexible approach with the ability to handle a varied workload in a fast-moving environment.
