Store Merchandiser Job Description

Our client, a leading privately owned business, is seeking a highly skilled Store Merchandiser to join their team. As a key member of the retail team, you will be responsible for managing the store merchandising for one of their premium womenswear brands.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective store merchandising strategies to maximize sales and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with store managers to understand customer needs and preferences, and make data-driven decisions to optimize store layouts and product displays.
  • Manage the allocation of stock to stores, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of merchandise.
  • Recall non-performing products and make room for new options, ensuring a fresh and exciting shopping experience for customers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure seamless communication and timely delivery of merchandise.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Provide feedback to the design and product development team to inform future product development and merchandising strategies.
  • Support the Brand Merchandiser in developing and implementing brand-specific merchandising strategies.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in store merchandising or a related field, with a strong understanding of retail operations and customer behavior.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with store managers, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other relevant software applications.
