About the Role:
Wiltshire College & University Centre is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Bursary and Student Funding Officer. This position is ideal for individuals who are committed to assisting students in understanding and managing their financial responsibilities related to education.
Location: Trowbridge, Wiltshire
Salary: £11,412 rising to £11,651 per annum (Full time equivalent £22,824 - £23,302 per annum, Professional Services Grade 4 & 4a)
Job Type: Permanent, Part Time (18.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)
Key Responsibilities:
- Advisory Services: Provide comprehensive guidance to both prospective and current students, along with their families, regarding financial matters such as course fees, available bursaries, and travel assistance. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Collaboration: Engage with external organizations and internal college departments to streamline the financial support process for students, ensuring they receive optimal assistance.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized records for all students, ensuring all documentation is current and readily accessible.
- Customer Service: Uphold a high standard of service, ensuring every interaction with students and their families is positive, supportive, and efficient.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English at level 2 or above. A level 3 qualification is preferred or a willingness to pursue one.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with a knack for conveying financial information in an understandable manner.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Empathy: A sincere interest in student welfare, with the ability to provide thoughtful and informed advice to individuals from various backgrounds.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with both internal and external partners to ensure comprehensive support for students.
