Senior Practice Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Practice Nurse to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team at HMP Styal. The post holder will practice independently and autonomously delivering high-quality care and treatment to patients, leveraging their expertise in Primary care settings.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe role involves delivering a high standard of care for minor illnesses and injuries, as well as managing long-term conditions such as Diabetes, COPD, and heart disease. The post holder will also be responsible for supporting cancer screening services and delivering Public Health England's health promotion programs, including Immunisations, women's health, and lifestyle conditions like smoking and obesity.
About the RoleThe Senior Practice Nurse will have management, leadership, and development responsibilities for the healthcare team, ensuring clinics and services are managed efficiently and effectively without compromising patient care or safety. The post holder will also have excellent organisational and time management skills, with a strong clinical decision-making ability and a commitment to high-quality patient care and service innovation.
Requirements- Registered Nurse/1st Degree
- NMC registered
- Post-registration Level 3 or 4 qualification in history taking and physical examination skills
- Non-Medical Prescriber or prepared to work towards
- Evidence of relevant up-to-date CPD
- Diploma in a Long-Term Condition management (e.g. asthma / diabetes)
- Recent or current experience in Primary Care
- Experience of developing and delivering training
