Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our European legal team, you will be responsible for advising on a full range of contracting issues, reviewing and drafting general commercial contracts, and supporting the business with key areas of statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Review and Drafting: Advise on and review commercial contracts, including master service agreements, master procurement agreements, terms and conditions, SOWs, research and development contracts, consulting agreements, technical testing agreements, and general procurement contracts.
  • Statutory Compliance: Support the business with key areas of statutory compliance, including anti-bribery, modern slavery, data protection, and export control.
  • Training and Development: Conduct training sessions on compliance issues and other key areas for the business, such as anti-bribery, data protection, confidentiality/trade secrets, business conduct, and other compliance activities.
  • Special Projects: Support special acquisitions/strategic projects and certain corporate-related matters.
  • Policy Development: Assist in developing and overseeing the implementation of legal policies and support for compliance initiatives.
  • Regional Support: Work as part of the European legal team to identify and support issues of regional importance.
  • Business Risk Management: Horizon scan and advise management on new developments or business risks which may impact operations in the UK.

Requirements

  • 2+ years PQE in commercial law
  • Excellent commercial knowledge and experience with contracts
  • Self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
