About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Positive Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at Parker Smith Inclusion Ltd. As a Positive Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Autism and Severe Learning Difficulties to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support assigned classes and help students stay engaged and motivated
  • Observe and record pupil behaviour and progress, providing valuable insights for teachers and support staff
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, ensuring a collaborative approach to supporting students
  • Attend regular training sessions and staff meetings to stay up-to-date with best practices and policies
  • Provide individual support to students who are experiencing difficulties, using positive behaviour support techniques to promote calm and well-being
  • Develop and implement resources to support positive behaviour, such as visual schedules and behaviour charts
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with Autism and Severe Learning Difficulties
  • Knowledge of positive behaviour support techniques and strategies
  • Commitment to providing high-quality support and care to students with Special Educational Needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, supporting students and staff to achieve their goals
