Behavior Support Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Support students with behavioral challenges in and out of the classroom.
  • Develop and implement tailored educational activities and support strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to the child’s education and well-being.
  • Monitor and record the child's progress, adjusting support strategies as necessary.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess and address student needs

Behavior Support Assistant Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, particularly those with behavioral challenges.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Ability to support personal care needs.
  • Positive, patient, and proactive attitude.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of behavior management strategies and interventions specific to SEN settings.
