Job Title: Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment and management of neurodevelopmental disorders in children and adolescents.

About the Role

The Consultant will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex needs. The role will involve contributing to the development of new models of service delivery, participating in clinical governance and quality assurance activities, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment and management of neurodevelopmental disorders in children and adolescents
  • Contribute to the development of new models of service delivery and participate in clinical governance and quality assurance activities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and contribute to the collection and monitoring of clinical outcome data
  • Participate in the training and supervision of junior staff and other disciplines
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex needs
Requirements

The successful candidate will have a primary medical degree, full GMC registration, and inclusion on the Specialist Register or CCT expected within 6 months of interview date. They will also have experience and training in the assessment and management of neurodevelopmental disorders, competence in psycho-pharmacology and non-medication therapeutic approaches, and knowledge of clinical governance and care quality.
