Salary Experience Dependent + Company Van
Our client, a market leader in the integration of automated solutions, is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to provide on-site service and commissioning of complete Electrical Control Systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with PLCs, AC/DC drives, general control gear, and SCADA systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide reactive site support for customer automation control applications, including PLC, VSD's, Robots network, and SCADA systems
- Offer 24/7 reactive callout support (rostered cover)
- Employ a methodical problem-solving approach
- Conduct workshop testing of engineered automation Control Systems
- Investigate and repair components, including PLC, VSD's, Robots network, and SCADA systems
- Read electrical schematic diagrams and PLC software listings
- Keep accurate and up-to-date site logs and timesheets
- Accurately mark up project schematics and documentation
- Assist with the development and delivery of bespoke training courses to meet customer requirements
- Support and train colleagues where possible
- Assist other engineers with on-site commissioning and service of engineered automation Control Systems
- Provide technical support, site audits, and quotations to sales
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience with variable speed drives for Siemens, ABB, Danfoss, Rockwell, CT, and Servo drives
- PLC experience with Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron products and software
- Robot experience is advantageous
- Effective communication with customers, other contractors, and commissioning engineers regarding problems, progress, and targets
- Ability to communicate with on-site personnel
