About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to join our team at Inspired Pet Nutrition. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our Management Accounts team and driving financial excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Management Accounts team to deliver accurate and timely month-end reporting for our manufacturing sites, distribution center, and head office function.
  • Liaise with site Business Partners to ensure delivered results correspond with wider site and operational understanding.
  • Ensure balance sheet control and reconciliation to maintain the integrity of our financial records.
  • Lead management accounts delivery to the external audit team, including year-end disclosure packs and management accounts analysis for tax purposes.
  • Manage and develop the Management Accounts team to operate as a shared service function, optimizing efficiency and use of talent across the team.
  • Drive automation and technological development of the general ledger and management accounts function to drive continuous improvement.
  • Deliver monthly capital accounting, reporting, and tracking versus business case, budget, and forecast.
  • Systemize the fixed asset registers and capex workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support members of the wider finance team with management accounts information necessary for them to deliver in line with their roles.
  • Take responsibility for completion of other deliverables that require management accounts information, such as National Statistics returns.
  • Plan and execute management accounts integration into the Shared Service function.

Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification and post-qualification experience.
  • Technical proficiency with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong concept of customer service and stakeholder management.
  • Flexible and able to deliver to deadline with attention to detail and processes with accuracy.
  • Positive approach to work and problem-solving with demonstrable leadership experience in a leadership role.
  • Very good Excel skills with experience of working in a manufacturing environment desirable but not essential.
