Your Challenge

We are excited to present an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Accountant to become a vital part of our Finance Team. This position offers a hybrid working model, allowing flexibility while maintaining a strong connection with our operations.

In this role, the Senior Accountant will play a crucial part in streamlining and enhancing the month-end closing and balance sheet reconciliation processes. You will be tasked with maximizing the efficiency of our financial systems (SAP) and will collaborate closely with the Finance Controller on value-added projects and analyses across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and refine month-end closing procedures
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations
  • Manage intercompany matching processes with the Group
  • Maintain fixed assets and oversee IFRS 16 compliance, including annual asset reviews
  • Prepare and submit ONS returns
  • Handle cash flow forecasting and cash pooling
  • Assist with the annual audit and statutory accounts preparation
  • Provide reporting and business partnership for indirect cost centers, including forecasting and budgeting
  • Monitor lease agreements
  • Support property and compliance strategies
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational synergies
  • Compile and distribute monthly business review presentations
  • Prepare and review corporation tax submissions
  • Address any statutory requirements across the UK and ROI
  • Optimize processes through SAP
  • Prepare VAT returns for both the UK and Ireland
  • Manage multiple currency transactions
  • Document process flows across the finance department
  • Lead internal audits and liaise with QHSSE Teams
  • Participate in internal ERG initiatives, town halls, and team events
  • Conduct other ad hoc business analyses as required

Your Profile

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency
  • A mindset geared towards continuous improvement

  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
  • Solid understanding of key finance principles
  • Familiarity with SAP is advantageous but not mandatory
