About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accounting Manager to join our team at Michael Page (UK). As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality financial results.
  • Develop and implement financial accounting processes and procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP and UK accounting standards.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data and reporting.
  • Manage the accounting team's workload, prioritizing tasks and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including management and other departments, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, laws, and regulations, and implement changes as necessary.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to the business, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in financial accounting, with a strong background in US GAAP and UK accounting standards.
  • Proven experience in people management, with a track record of developing and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in SAP and other financial accounting software.
