Job Summary:
Thorn Baker Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our team in the East Midlands region. As an Assistant Site Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the construction site, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Site Manager in overseeing all aspects of the construction site, including planning, coordination, and execution.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and trades on site, ensuring timely completion of tasks and high-quality workmanship.
- Monitor and report on progress to the Site Manager, identifying and resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise.
- Assist in maintaining high-quality standards of workmanship, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Site Manager to develop and implement site plans, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification
- CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card
- Valid First Aid certification
- Driving Licence
- Previous experience in new build housing, ideally with a PLC developer
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Working Conditions:
The role of Assistant Site Manager involves working on a construction site, which may include exposure to various weather conditions and physical demands. The candidate should be prepared to work full-time hours as required for the project.
