Collections Coordinator

This is an exciting new opportunity at the British Museum, where the postholder will work in a team of two, ensuring that working activities are safely planned, controlled, and coordinated. The successful candidate will undertake assurance checks onsite to ensure that works are compliant with CDM procedures, and will be required to work weekends and evenings based on project demands.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake daily monitoring of contractor working and project management processes on site, undertaking spot checks and safety audits.
- Support the induction of contractors to the site where required.
- Carry out training for project managers/internal stakeholders in relation to Museum procedures.
The postholder must have basic knowledge and understanding of health and safety and construction management procedures. Prior experience working in contractor coordination or construction would be beneficial, as would previous health and safety checks. The postholder must be proficient in using MS Office programmes, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
