Job Summary
East Ayrshire Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Residential Worker. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to the physical and emotional needs of children and young people, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote positive developmental experiences and outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to ensure seamless delivery of services and support.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a positive and inclusive living environment.
- Participate in regular training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Regulated Work experience with children and/or protected adults.
- Ability to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member or update existing membership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced setting.
