Job Title: Senior Town Planner or Principal Town Planner

Penguin Recruitment is seeking experienced Town Planners at Senior or Principal level to join a dynamic team in Birmingham. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to delivering major infrastructure and development projects across various sectors, making a positive impact on communities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead planning efforts on projects across multiple sectors and markets, ensuring successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Manage project delivery, client relationships, and bid preparation, fostering business growth opportunities.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior colleagues, contributing to the growth and development of our Planning team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across environmental, engineering, and design disciplines to deliver high-quality projects.

Requirements:
  • A relevant Planning degree; RTPI membership is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of planning applications, including TCPA, DCO, and TWAO.
  • Experience with Environmental Impact Assessments, Strategic Planning, and Planning Policy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, delivering high-quality outputs on time and within budget.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report preparation and presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage client relationships, with experience in work winning and market growth support.
