We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Urban Planner to join our team at Penguin Recruitment Ltd. As a Senior Urban Planner, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and management of planning applications, including TCPA, Development Consent Orders, and Transport Works Act Orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing planning strategies to deliver major projects.
  • Providing high-quality advice, reports, and presentations to clients, backed by robust analysis.
  • Collaborating with internal and external technical specialists to deliver multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Building and maintaining client relationships while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • A degree or postgraduate qualification in Town and Country Planning (RTPI accredited), with Chartered membership of the RTPI.
  • Strong experience in planning within consultancy, local authority, or similar environments.
  • A deep understanding of planning law and procedures, with proven commercial acumen.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary projects and working with diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex issues to non-specialists.
