We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead English Teacher to join our team at a large SEN School in Preston. The school caters for pupils aged 11-16 who face challenges associated with SEMH needs.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching and learning to young people, contributing to the delivery and development of the curriculum. Key duties include working collaboratively with other members of staff, maintaining and using short-, medium- and long-term plans, and setting, monitoring and reviewing personalised targets.

Successful candidates will have a PGCE, QTS, QTLS teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training. They will also be able to teach from Entry level 2 & 3, Functional Skills Level 1 & 2 and GCSEs in English and 1 other subject to GCSE Level.

This is a temporary position, with the option to make it permanent at a later date. Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and all applicants will undergo safeguarding checks.
