The Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI) is seeking a skilled Cloud Platform Architect to join their team. As a member of the Computing Centre department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based systems to support the centre's research activities.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement cloud-based systems, including patching, updating, and monitoring
- Ensure efficient monitoring and backup processes
- Set up and maintain cloud systems, ideally with Rancher, Kubernetes, and Longhorn
- Develop and implement scripting solutions using Python and PowerShell
- Containerize servers and services using Docker and Kubernetes
- Implement basic security measures, including data protection, proxy servers, and API gateways
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with cloud-based systems and technologies
- Strong knowledge of scripting and containerization
- Basic security mindset and understanding of data protection
- Flexible working hours and option to work from home
