**Job Title:** Child Development Officer
**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child Development Officer to join our team at East Renfrewshire Council. The successful candidate will work closely with our management team to provide a high-quality service that meets the needs of children aged 0-5 years and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement a service that meets the needs of children and their families.
- Work with children with additional support needs to provide tailored support and services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local communities, organizations, and stakeholders to promote the service and identify opportunities for collaboration.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that ensure the service is delivered in a safe and effective manner.
- Provide training and support to staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver the service.
Requirements:
- Hold a HNC Childhood Practice at SCQF Level 7 or equivalent qualification recognized by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
- Have experience working with children with additional support needs.
- Be registered with the SSSC or have eligibility to apply for registration.
- Have the right to work in the UK and be able to provide proof of this.
