Position Overview

At DAS Law, a part of ARAG UK, we are experiencing significant growth within our litigation departments. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dedicated and collaborative team of approximately 50 legal professionals within our Complex Litigation unit. We are currently looking for a Senior Associate to join our Professional Negligence team, responsible for managing a diverse caseload of intermediate and multi-track professional negligence matters while also providing guidance to junior team members.

Team Dynamics

Led by Laura Loney, our team comprises highly skilled professionals specializing in intermediate and multi-track professional negligence claims, as well as related ancillary claims such as property misrepresentation. The team also addresses broader commercial litigation cases as needed. The professional negligence unit operates within the larger Complex Litigation division, overseen by partner Will Ellerton.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking individuals who are passionate and enthusiastic about their work. Our culture fosters early responsibility, allowing you to manage cases from inception through to alternative dispute resolution or trial, while also supporting your colleagues.

We welcome applications from both Associates and Paralegals. While prior experience in professional negligence, whether from a claimant or defendant perspective, is beneficial, it is not mandatory. The ideal candidate will possess case handling experience, a solid understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules, and familiarity with relevant pre-action protocols. Experience in mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution is advantageous. Additionally, while experience in property misrepresentation claims is beneficial, training will be provided.
