Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nursery Practitioner and Room Leader to join our team at Hedgehog Recruitment. As a key member of our nursery staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to our young children, while also leading and supporting a small team of staff within the room.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with children to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes their physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.
  • Support the Room Leader in the daily running of the room, including planning and implementing activities, managing resources, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Liaise with parents and carers to build strong relationships and provide regular updates on their child's progress.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote the well-being and safety of children and staff.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in early years education and childcare.
Requirements
  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Care (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including full-time and part-time hours
