Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust (WAHT) Cardiopulmonary team to implement and deliver inventory management solutions, providing administrative support to clinical teams. The postholder will be responsible for managing inventory at department level, acting as a primary point of contact and attending ward department meetings when required.

Main Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage inventory at department level, ensuring efficient and cost-effective management of regularly used consumables within Cardiopulmonary clinical areas.
  • Provide expert advice on usage trends, stock levels, product range, and stock management procedures to clinical/department managers, working closely with the procurement team.
  • Review and resolve discrepancies concerning stock, liaising with clinicians, customers, and external suppliers as necessary.
  • Analyze virtual and face-to-face clinic slots/physiologist time to maximize availability.
  • Contact patients prior to appointments to ensure reduced DNA % and increased clinic availability.
  • Communicate regularly with department staff specific to both Cardiology and Respiratory consumables and stock levels.
