Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, test, and de-cart engines in accordance with engineering and OEM instructions.
  • Carry out basic fault finding, repairs, and maintenance on engines, operating systems, and plant equipment.
  • Perform full and partial module changes.
  • Provide technical support to the Test Facility Local Management Team, engine programs, and vendors.
  • Ensure all items required for testing are to required specifications and available within agreed turn time targets.
  • Conduct final checks on completed units, ensuring all paperwork is stamped correctly.
  • Assist Test Engineers when required.
  • Assist in inventory and final finishing of engines.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety and environmental requirements and regulations.
  • Comply with statutory requirements and regulations and Company requirements.
  • Carry out any other reasonable request within current competence level.
  • Assist in the training of team members, ensuring best practice standards are maintained.
  • Self-development will be the responsibility of the post-holder. Training and development will be identified and opportunities sought to increase personal effectiveness.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external departments.

Position Requirements:

  • Knowledge of gas turbine engine theory and performance.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret company instructions, processes, and original equipment manufacturer's manuals.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship.
  • Experience in an aerospace or manufacturing environment.
