About the Role

Weldmar Hospicecare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Specialist in Palliative Care to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our palliative care services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide medical care to patients with palliative needs, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the patient's physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Collaborate with the hospice team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in education and training programs to stay up-to-date with the latest palliative care practices and research.
  • Contribute to the development of our palliative care services, including quality improvement initiatives and policy development.

Requirements

  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
  • Completion of four years of full-time postgraduate training or equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis, with at least two years in a specialty training program.
  • Experience in palliative care or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
