Position Overview:
The Senior Project Manager will serve as the head of Project Management for a prominent multinational engineering firm with multiple operational sites across the UK.

The role will involve leading and supervising a dedicated team of Project Managers and Document Controllers, ensuring the comprehensive management of customer orders from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Project Lifecycle Management:**
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, risk assessment, timely delivery, quality control, and adherence to contractual obligations.
- Ensure effective internal and external communication throughout the project duration.

2. **Team Leadership and Development:**
- Mentor and guide Project Managers and Document Control personnel to ensure the successful delivery of commercial projects and accurate documentation.
- Identify performance gaps and implement corrective measures as necessary.

3. **Operational Oversight:**
- Conduct weekly project review meetings to track progress and ensure critical actions are documented and followed up.
- Manage operational risks and coordinate external audits while maintaining a robust connection with Document Control.

4. **Contract and Documentation Oversight:**
- Oversee the acceptance and management of all commercial contracts, ensuring compliance from initiation through to completion.
- Collaborate with Sales and Project teams to review and negotiate commercial terms.

Qualifications:
- A degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in contract and commercial management within an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) setting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead diverse teams effectively.
- Strong commercial insight with experience in risk management and dispute resolution.
- Comprehensive understanding of industry compliance and quality standards.
