Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated English Teacher to join our team at our SEN Behaviour School. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching English, as well as experience working with students who have been excluded from mainstream schools. This role requires an individual who is both innovative and resilient, capable of engaging students with behavioural challenges and helping them achieve academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Engaging English Lessons: Design and deliver effective English lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEN and behavioural challenges.
- Collaborate with Colleagues and External Professionals: Work closely with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to create a holistic support network for each student, ensuring a seamless and effective learning experience.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Hold a recognized teaching qualification and have a strong understanding of the English curriculum.
- Relevant Qualifications and Experience: Possess relevant qualifications and/or experience in teaching English, with a proven track record of working with students with SEN and behavioural challenges.
- Innovative and Resilient Approach: Demonstrate an innovative and resilient approach to teaching, with a focus on engaging students with behavioural challenges and helping them build the skills and confidence needed for reintegration.
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
- DBS and Continuous Professional Development: Hold a valid DBS disclosure and be committed to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in teaching and SEN support.
