Job Title: Senior Cost Estimator

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Estimator to join our team at Morson Talent. As a Senior Cost Estimator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Management: Monitor and control project costs, ensuring expenditures are within the approved budget.
  • Contract Administration: Ensure all contractual obligations are met, and handle any variations or changes to the contract.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit financial reports, including cost tracking, variance analysis, and budget reconciliation.
  • Valuations and Payments: Conduct regular site visits to measure and value the work done, certify progress payments, and ensure accurate billing.
  • Risk Management: Produce a commercial risk register, monitor risk, and assist in the implementation of agreed mitigation measures.

Requirements:

  • Education: Educated to a Degree level in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in a quantity surveyor role, with evidence of commercial management success.
  • Skills: Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, good communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
