The Youth Education Service is actively collaborating with various Virtual School Heads and Local Authorities to recruit Tutors dedicated to supporting young learners across a range of subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, ESOL, and functional skills.

In this role, you will engage in diverse assignments, providing individualized tuition or, in some instances, small group instruction to young individuals who may include:

  • Looked After Children
  • Emotionally Based Non-Attenders
  • Children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) who are not currently receiving education or who attend school on a part-time basis
  • Asylum-Seeking Children/Refugees
  • Pupils requiring Alternative Provision
  • Pupils awaiting a school placement

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • The capacity to engage with young people in a compassionate and understanding manner
  • A vibrant and resilient character
  • The ability to work independently while ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols and prioritizing the welfare of children
  • Experience in providing 1:1 support across various ability levels, from GCSE to Functional Skills
  • A proven history in teaching, ideally holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
