Clinical Psychologist

The successful candidate will provide high-quality, evidence-based psychological services to children, young people, and their families in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. This will involve delivering clinical input across Children's Services, offering specialist support to children, young people, and their families, and providing specialist psychologically-informed CAMHS assessments of clients referred to the team.
Key Duties- Deliver clinical input across Children's Services by offering specialist support to children, young people, and their families.
- Provide specialist psychologically-informed CAMHS assessments of clients referred to the team based upon the appropriate use, interpretation, and integration of complex data from a variety of sources.
- Formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of a client's mental health problems.
- Provide consultation and training to junior colleagues, local authority colleagues, and carers.
- Support the delivery of compassion-focused therapy (CFT) and related approaches.
- Support local authority colleagues with the Children's Service Practice Framework.
- Provide reflective consideration of different options for working with children, young people, and families.
- Support colleagues to think about the network around the child.
- Contribute to research, service evaluation, and audits relevant to the service.
- Work in close collaboration with other Children's Services colleagues.
- Develop strong joint working relationships and practices across Children's Services and Oxleas CAMHS.
- Undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual clients.
- Work in accordance with CAMHS and team objectives by adhering to Trust and Directorate policies.
- Contribute to the development, evaluation, and monitoring of the team's operational policies and services.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in children's services and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the principles of CAMHS and the Children's Service Practice Framework. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families, as well as with colleagues and other stakeholders.
