Job Title: Rota Coordinator Head

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Rota Coordinator Head to join our team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and maintaining rotas within the Head & Neck departments, ensuring safe clinical cover is maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and maintain rotas to ensure safe clinical cover and efficient staffing
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Medical Workforce Manager to ensure compliance with New Deal and EWTD requirements
  • Act as the first point of contact for medical staff queries relating to rotas, using tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality
  • Assess situations and deal with them accordingly, using personal judgment and acquired knowledge
  • Ensure all rotas comply with New Deal and EWTD requirements
  • Work with the team to maintain a work-life balance for all staff, offering flexible working hours and shift patterns
  • Communicate effectively with staff, other departments, and external bodies
  • Attend meetings as necessary, including European Working Time Directive meetings
  • Work flexibly to ensure the smooth running of the Service, gaining additional skills as required
  • Be aware of workload and pressures within other areas, providing support and encouragement as necessary

Requirements:

  • Experience in planning, coordinating, and maintaining rotas
  • Knowledge of New Deal and EWTD requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
