Youth Support Specialists Required
Are you committed to enhancing the lives of young individuals with special educational needs? Do you possess the skills to manage challenging behaviours and assist students in reaching their utmost potential? We are in search of devoted Youth Support Specialists to collaborate in both special educational needs (SEN) and mainstream educational settings.
In the role of a Youth Support Specialist, you will be instrumental in delivering personalized and small group assistance to students with diverse requirements, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing behaviour management techniques and interventions to aid students facing behavioural challenges.
- Providing tailored support to help students manage their emotions and cultivate effective coping strategies.
- Collaborating with educators, SEN Coordinators, and other professionals to develop and execute individualized behaviour plans.
- Offering pastoral care and support.
- Creating a secure and inclusive educational atmosphere where every student feels appreciated and supported.
Previous experience working with young individuals with SEN and handling challenging behaviours is highly advantageous.
Essential qualities include patience, resilience, and a sincere dedication to fostering the social, emotional, and academic growth of students with SEN.
Requirements include an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service or a willingness to apply for one.
