Job Title: Pharmacist - Band 6/7

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team as a Band 6/7 Pharmacist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional professional pharmacy services and will be part of a high-performing team that demonstrates behaviours that promote the outpatient pharmacies and Royal Free London values.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to patients and staff
  • Act as a Responsible Pharmacist and provide support to the Senior Pharmacist and the rest of the pharmacy team
  • Develop and implement policies and services to improve patient care and safety
  • Manage financial and physical resources to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Lead and manage the pharmacy team to achieve high-quality patient care and safety
  • Develop and maintain information resources to support patient care and safety
  • Contribute to research and development to improve patient care and safety
  • Provide educational and professional development opportunities to the pharmacy team
Requirements:
  • Masters degree or equivalent in pharmacy
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice
  • Experience of patient counselling and audit
  • Experience of working in a hospital environment
  • Post-registration hospital experience would be an advantage
Skills and Qualities:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy environment
  • Confident approach but aware of own limitations and will consult when required
  • Able to work as part of a team and use initiative and work independently
