Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Emergency Medicine Specialist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a Portfolio Pathway Doctor, you will play a key role in supporting doctors working towards their CESR application.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in a full shift 24/7 rota, providing clinical supervision and management of patients attending the Emergency Department. You will also be responsible for initial treatment and assessment of adult and paediatric patients, and arranging for patients to be reviewed or admitted by medical staff from other specialties.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Full GMC Registration with license to practice
  • MB BS or recognised equivalent
  • 48 months postgraduate experience, including 12 months emergency medicine equivalent to UK practice or evidence of ST3 EM Competencies
  • Provider status in ALS/ATLS/EPLS

Desirable criteria include MRCEM, evidence of working effectively as a part of a multidisciplinary team, and commitment to team approach and multi-disciplinary working.
