NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking a dedicated Locum Specialty Doctor in Anaesthesia to join our dynamic team at University Hospital Ayr (UHA).
This 12-month position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality anaesthesia and perioperative care across a diverse range of surgical specialties.
Your Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive anaesthesia and perioperative care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
- Develop expertise in sub-specialty areas such as perioperative medicine and regional anaesthesia.
- Participate in on-call rotations, providing essential anaesthesia support for emergency surgeries, critical care stabilization, and patient transfers.
The Anaesthesia department at UHA is a collaborative and supportive environment with a strong commitment to professional development. We are a team of 43 Consultants, 15 SAS doctors, 20 Trainee Anaesthetists, and 3 Anaesthesia Associate trainees.
UHA is undergoing significant transformation, becoming a centre of excellence for orthopaedic elective surgery and expanding services in General Surgery, Interventional Radiology, Ophthalmology, and Urology.
