Position Overview

Carmichael UK is in search of a Construction Site Manager with expertise in Structures to contribute to a significant infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities

As a Construction Site Manager, your role will encompass:

  • Supporting the development of the construction strategy, which includes organizing initial meetings and preparing essential documentation such as Method Statements, Environmental and Quality Plans, and Construction schedules.
  • Collaborating with the Sub Manager and Section Foreman to effectively allocate resources including labor, equipment, materials, and temporary structures to meet project standards, timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Overseeing the site engineering team, ensuring the performance and growth of site and Section Engineers.
  • Facilitating the coordination of construction activities, ensuring compliance with contract specifications and maintaining high standards of safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ).
  • Assisting in the creation of project timelines, progress reports, resource allocation plans, and financial forecasts, while also managing site measurements and material reconciliations.
Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A HNC/Degree in Construction or Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proven knowledge and practical experience in Site Engineering activities along with strong construction supervision capabilities.
  • Extensive experience in Structures, Highways, and/or drainage projects.
  • Relevant certifications including SMSTS and CSCS (White, White/Yellow, Red-Experienced, Black-Manager, or Gold-Supervisor).
  • A valid driving license.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of construction operations while adhering to the highest standards of quality and safety.
