About the Role

The University of Leicester is seeking a highly skilled and experienced nurse educator to join its School of Healthcare. As a Lecturer in Children's Nursing, you will play a key role in delivering teaching and assessment activities for the Nursing with Leadership Dual Field (Children's Nursing and Mental Health) MSci program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality teaching materials and resources for undergraduate students
  • Contribute to and undertake assessment activities, ensuring alignment with program learning outcomes
  • Support placement activities and network creation, fostering strong relationships with external partners
  • Assume personal tutor role and activities, providing guidance and support to students
  • Contribute to and initiate activities aligned with the University's Equality, Diversity, and Inclusivity agenda
  • Participate in school, college, and university governance and quality assurance processes to ensure continuous improvement
  • Develop personal teaching and assessment skills, staying up-to-date with best practices in nursing education
  • Contribute to wider school activities, leveraging expertise and role to drive innovation and excellence
