Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Software Controls Engineer to engage in projects within the Oil & Gas Storage & Distribution Sector.

Reporting directly to the Sector Project Manager, this role involves contributing to the execution and support of automation initiatives for our key clients.

The position entails the development of PLC, HMI, and SCADA software in a dynamic and rapidly changing industry. Additionally, the role includes substantial customer interaction and site responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and modify PLC, HMI, and SCADA software according to customer specifications and standards.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on automation solutions and optimal control system architectures.
  • Conduct site assessments and assist in project estimations (engineering time and materials).
Candidate Profile:
  • Proficient understanding of PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems from manufacturers such as Rockwell, Schneider, Mitsubishi, Aveva Wonderware, and Beijer.
  • Experience in setting up, commissioning, and troubleshooting industrial networks.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze electrical schematic diagrams in industrial settings.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards applicable to the water sector.
