Position Overview

Minstrell Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Commercial Glass Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be compensated at a competitive rate based on experience.

Working Hours

This is a full-time position, operating from Monday to Friday.

Location

The role will primarily be based in Feltham, West London, with responsibilities that include travel to various sites within the borough of Hounslow.

Key Responsibilities

The Commercial Glass Specialist will be tasked with delivering exceptional service focused on customer satisfaction and quality. Responsibilities include:

  • Measuring, installing, and repairing glass in residential, commercial, and office settings.
  • Ensuring the appropriate type of glass is utilized for each project.
  • Removing old or damaged glass panes and ensuring new installations are watertight.
Technical Skills

Key technical responsibilities include:

  • Installing pre-assembled wood or metal frameworks for doors and windows prior to glass panel installation.
  • Interpreting blueprints and specifications to determine necessary work details, including glass type, size, and installation procedures.
  • Safely unloading tools and equipment, utilizing suction cups or cranes for glass panel handling.
  • Applying glazing compound to secure glass panels and trimming excess material.
Customer Care

It is essential to maintain a high level of customer service when interacting with tenants and leaseholders, contributing positively to our customer-focused approach.

Site Management

Responsibilities also include:

  • Ensuring all tools, materials, and debris are cleared from work sites, leaving communal areas clean and tidy.
  • Adhering to health and safety policies to ensure personal and public safety during repair works.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A full, clean driving license.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in commercial glazing.
  • The ability to read and interpret risk assessments and method statements.
  • Knowledge of Schedule of Rates coding.
  • Experience in meeting performance targets and deadlines.
  • Previous experience in a social housing repairs environment.
