Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in East Sussex. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our residents and overseeing the operations of our care home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Direction: Provide leadership and direction to staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Resident Care: Oversee the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care, including medication administration and adherence to care plans. Ensure residents' physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Operations Management: Collaborate with the Manager to maintain regulatory compliance and manage the day-to-day operations of the care home facility. Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for residents.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Liaise with residents, families, and stakeholders, addressing concerns promptly and professionally. Supervise and train care staff on best practices.
  • Quality and Safety: Maintain accurate records and foster continuous improvement by regularly evaluating care and implementing changes. Ensure the safety and security of residents and staff.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or above, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
  • Proven experience in healthcare, dementia care, or senior care.
  • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Must be a UK resident or have settled status.
