About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Graduate Sales and Marketing Manager to join our team at Sheffield Forgemasters Engineering Ltd. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive business growth and revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Marketing Strategy: Identify new sales opportunities through product or market diversification, and develop a portfolio of accounts to achieve allocated sales targets.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Maintain regular contact with customers to quantify new sales potential, and ensure optimum exploitation of potential leads.
  • Business Development: Establish a strong network of external relationships, and liaise with representatives and overseas agents on sales visits.
  • Account Management: Proactively account manage existing clients to build on existing business, and ensure SFEL inclusion in the tender process.
  • Product Representation: Represent the full technical and product capability of Sheffield Forgemasters to customers, and proactively pursue profitable opportunities to expand the product offering to existing customers.
  • Lead Generation: Follow up all enquiries and leads, liaising internally and taking a proactive interest in technical issues and new developments.
  • Travel and Representation: Spend up to 50% of time travelling to promote products through client visits to existing and new customers.
  • Relationship Building: Develop long-term sustainable relationships at all levels with demanding clients based on excellent service and support.
  • Market Intelligence: Understand markets and competitors to give guidance on pricing strategy.
  • Sales Support: Support customer negotiations to close sales deals in line with customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Reporting and Feedback: Provide regular feedback to the Head of Sales regarding sales prospects, competitor activity, and market conditions.
  • Marketing Support: Support marketing as required by attending tradeshows, conferences, and other marketing events.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum 2:2 Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Business, or a complimentary discipline.
  • IT Literacy and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong Work Ethic and ability to work independently.
  • Team Player able to integrate with colleagues across the business.
  • Outgoing Personality with a willingness to travel extensively worldwide.
  • Resilience and Tenacity to overcome challenges and achieve sales targets.
  • Ability to Work on Their Own Initiative to drive business growth and revenue.
